Every week, the tech-minded and culture-focused team at Newmind shares many interesting articles internally. Every so often, we like to share that value with you. Let the faves begin!
Warren Buffett’s “2 List” Strategy: How to Maximize Your Focus and Master Your Priorities
Matt Vollmar shared this post, which looks at how we focus on tasks, and charges the reader with a new method for prioritizing our important goals, and casting off the ones that don’t carry the same weight—long-term or not. James Clear sums it up nicely: “complete a task or kill it.”

Check Out Gmail 5.0 For Android And Google’s Plan To Handle All Your Email Accounts In One App
James shared this comprehensive look at the new Gmail update, and for anyone who’s gotten an early look at Google Inbox, it’s obvious that they’re trying to plant the seed in Gmail 5.0. This New Ikea Desk Goes From Sit To Stand With the Push of a Button
There plenty of ways to stay active at work—Newmind recently got itself a pullup bar to hang in the office, and we even puts on the occasional “bodyhack” session to encourage healthy behaviors. One simple solution to office lethargy, though, is to stand instead of sit! Ben shared this new adjustable Ikea desk that fits the bill nicely. Shut up and take my money!
Samsung devices are now banned from use by Chinese officials
We try not to get too political in the office, but Samsung is one of our Newmind’s biggest tech providers, so we were obviously intrigued by this news. China is known for its web-censorship policies, but to ban an entire manufacturer (one of the biggest in the world, at that), for the fear of spying is an interesting move. Guess you can add Samsung to the rest of their list.
